About us
St Mary’s Arts represents arts activities at St Mary’s Ware.
St Mary’s is a Grade 1 listed building going back to the thirteenth century. It’s also a great performance and exhibition space. For many years the church has hosted arts events such as lunchtime concerts and evening shows, visual events, children’s work, and talks on many subjects.
St Mary’s Arts is here to pull together the whole range of activities, as well as exploring new ones. Activities will include music both classical and popular, visual arts and semi-staged events such as theatre, opera, dance and poetry. We welcome the arts of all cultures. We aim to fully utilise our church’s excellent facilities. Building on our rich tradition, we want to make St Mary’s a prominent arts venue, known in and beyond the parish.

St Mary’s is set back slightly from the High Street in Ware, opposite the library and town museum. The church is about a 10 minute walk from the station.
If you have limited mobility and need to park at the Church, the car park is accessed from Church Street. This is a one-way street running behind the High Street, the entrance to Church Street is just by the shop ‘Ware Card Centre.’
